Oatmeal Poha

Poha is the staple breakfast in India which is usually made of flattened rice. But have you ever heard of Poha made out of Oatmeal, well here it is the Most Healthiest Breakfast meal Oatmeal Poha.

Healthy, gluten-free Breakfast -Oatmeal Poha





Prep Time: 15 Minutes
Cook Time: 10 Minutes
Total Time: 25 Minutes
Serves: 2

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup Oatmeal 
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp Mustard Seeds
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric Powder
  • ½ tsp Cumin Seeds
  • ½ Carrot grated
  • 1 small Onion chopped
  • ½ tsp Ginger grated
  • 2 Green Chillies
  • ¼ cup Water
  • Roasted Peanuts and Coriander for Garnish


Method:
  • Wash the oatmeal thoroughly under tap water and rinse it well
  • In a pan, take oil, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. When the mustard seeds splutter add green chilies and ginger. Saut√© it.
  • Now add onions until translucent, then add carrots, saut√© it for a while.Then, add turmeric powder and cook well.
  • Add rinsed oatmeal and toss it well with the mixture.
  • Add a little water to make it moist.
  • Garnish with roasted peanuts and coriander.
