Pistachio Biscuits

Weekend is here, and Life is better with freshly baked biscuits.

Well , this is one of the basic recipe out of which you can make any biscuit of your choice. Like I made it with pistachio, you can make it with cashew nuts or almonds or tuty fruity etc.

And I’ll be baking these biscuits in microwave .

Pistachio  Biscuits

Pistachio Biscuits

Prep Time: 30 minutes
Bake Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour (inclusive of cooling time)

  • ½ cup White Butter
  • ½ cup Castor Sugar
  • 1 cup Maida or All-purpose Flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup Desiccated Pistachio
  • ¼ cup milk
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 to 2 drops of Vanilla Essence

  • Firstly, sieve maida (all-purpose flour) , baking powder and salt.
  • In a bowl beat butter and castor sugar till it becomes creamy.
  • Now add the sieved maida mixture to the butter and sugar mixture. Add few drops of vanilla essence.
  • Make dough of it .
  • Keep it in fridge for 15 minutes.
  • Roll the dough and give different shapes with cutter of your choice.
  • Now glaze each biscuit with milk and garnish with desiccated pistachio.
  • Bake it in microwave on ' pre-heat ' mode for 10 minutes and then bake at convention @ 200oC for 6 minutes .


If supposedly the dough is extremely tight then add little milk so that it becomes soft .
